OWASP Top 10
The nonprofit Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) works to improve the security of software, web applications, and APIs. Since 2003, the OWASP Top 10 has raised awareness of the most critical security risks to web applications.
The OWASP Top 10 has long provided guidance for mitigating critical security risks. For nearly 20 years the top risks remained largely unchanged, but modern application architectures have shifted the calculus. The latest Top 10 list, released in late 2021, includes significant updates from previous lists, with its data-driven methodology, defines a new wave of risk in application security that considers both app design and implementation.
